VAN ROY ASYLUM continues to document its personal experience and nostalgia. Although the «Amalgama» release deviates from the Dark Electro course and experiments with some Synthwave / Outrun sound (quite appropriate though), but still its atmosphere and message develop the same phantasmagoria that was created on «Investigabiles Viae Dementiae».

The original track goes well with THE SOLARBURST version, where 'Amalgama' acquires the certain dynamics and changes the contemplation to pure drive. One more version from GNOTHI SEAUTON, on the contrary, deifies the slow pace of the narrative, its allusions and mystical component and transforms into horror synth cult. VAN ROY ASYLUM promises to return after the «Amalgama» experimental single with a new full-length work that will be released on INSANE RECORDS as usual.

As soon as I played a couple of Wolfchild songs I knew I would buy the album. Then it really didn't take long until I owned the other albums... hot thing all that. Love the voice and the great sound! I first had to get used to hearing German lyrics, but then it was like with the band Agonoize from Germany: I wanted it. Meanwhile I also have almost all albums by Agonoize, mainly physical ones. The following applies to both bands: Gut gemacht, Jungs! So turn up the volume and maximum bass! VeryEvil E-22912
